Every year, on the day after Thanksgiving, the vacant lot on the corner of Elm street sells Christmas Trees. A make shift fence corrals the various trees for sale and is strewn with colorful Christmas lights. A loud speaker blasts Christmas music and a large Santa stands sentry at the front. Caitlin and I would always refer to it as the Creepy Santa. We would always say "Wouldn't Creepy Santa be a great photo" and " We need to photograph him before he is gone". Inevitably by the time we made time, Creepy Santa was gone just as fast as he appeared. But, this Christmas, I made time. I made it before the man who sells the Christmas trees had a chance to pack him away. And with Christmas music blaring from the loud speaker and cars driving past honking with Christmas cheer, I snapped my shutter and immortalized Creepy Santa forever.
Merry Christmas, Happy Travelers!!!
