Driving down Route 1A, along New Hampshire's seacoast, I pass such iconic places as the Beach Plum, Petey's and Ray's. Their lots filled with in and out- of- staters, their picnic benches filled with happy, famished eyes. I pass young girls in bikinis, shirtless young boys in bold patterned surfer shorts, all sun kissed and selfie ready. I see runners, bikers and surfers. I stop to let families cross with coolers, chairs and umbrellas. I pass North Beach then Jenness Beach and finally on to Wallis Sands. I pull over. The light calls to me and I listen. This is my postcard to you, full of warm caressing sunny, salty ocean breezes, refreshing late August Atlantic waves, and end of summer skies: all golden, orange, yellow magenta hued.
Happy Labor Day Weekend, Travelers
